01 / THE DETECTIVE

The detective / Graham

Believe the scene,
not the story.

A locksmith’s son who grew up taking things apart to see how they worked. At the Met he made his name reopening cases others had closed. Now he works alone, called in when the official answer doesn’t add up.

Origin
Coastal northern England
Formerly
Detective, Metropolitan Police
Now
Independent investigator
02 / FIRST LOOK

Step into Harlow Point.

Unreal Engine 5 / Work in progress

Real gameplay from the current build: the crime scene, the questioning, the drive across town, and what waits at the watchtower.

Note: this is an early build that’s still being optimised, so expect some frame-rate drops. The screen recording makes them look worse than they are in-game.

03 / THE EXPERIENCE

See what
others miss.

Walk Harlow Point as Detective Graham. Examine everything. Question anyone. Follow the lead wherever it goes.

The in-game casebook listing what each witness told Graham, with one statement struck through as disproved

Your curiosity writes the ending.

No choice wheels. The outcome comes from how you investigate. Skip a question or leave a room unsearched, and the case still ends, just not the way it could have.

Detective Graham inside a house, standing between two doors

Every door opens.

A full town to explore, with every building enterable: the palace, the café, the watchtower and every house in between.

01

Examine everything.

Pick up the evidence and turn it in your hands. Every clue goes into your casebook.

02

Question anyone.

Fully voiced conversations. Choose your questions, or walk away when you’ve heard enough.

03

Drive the town.

Take the car across Harlow Point, from the palace to the café to the edge of town.

04

When it turns violent.

Some leads shoot back. Take cover, draw and fire.

What you overlook

decides how it ends.

05 / THE MAP

More to explore.
More to lose.

Explore every location on foot or by car, and step inside every building, from the Grand Palace to the café by the lake to the old watchtower at the edge of town.

06 / THE SERIES

New case.
New world.

Percipient is built as a series of cases. Each one takes place in a brand-new sandbox with its own crime, suspects and secrets. The plan is two cases a year, in the tradition of classic detective fiction. Harlow Point is the first.

Build it with me

Percipient is a solo, independent project built in the UAE. I’m looking for artists and developers who want to shape this series as early collaborators, and I’m open to funding opportunities that help it grow.
